MMA Newsletter 3/20/07 It’s been a while since our last mma newsletter due to the fact that we have been extremely busy.

We want to thank DR. BEAU DOUBLEDAY of GREAT LAKES CHIROPRACTIC in Coldwater Michigan for taking care of our fighters and getting a few of them back on their feet after some injuries. If you’re in the area of Southern Michigan check out their state of the art facility and top-level chiropractic care. They take care of us well Dr. Doubleday is a great Sports Chiropractor!! 3/2-3/3 Team Severn went to the NAGA Grappling tournament at the Arnold Classic in Columbus Ohio and overall had a fairly decent showing. Mike Kraz, Mike Emrich, Mike Evans, Nick Bismack, Wayne Andrews, Major Overall, and Paul Bowers competed in the tournament. Bismack and Bowers won their divisions and Wayne Andrews took fourth place, we had three placers and our team had a blast. We look forward to the next competition, as it was a fun filled weekend at the tournament and expo.

3/11 Sybil Star of Team Severn headed to Tokyo Japan to compete for the #1 contender spot for the Smack Girls 120 pound World Title. Sybil had a good showing with some good momentum going in the first round, but was eventually caught in an arm bar on the ground by her very experienced now 9-1 opponents Madoka Okada. Sybil had a great fight and we look forward to getting her back into competition as she is one of the more exciting fighters at 120 pounds to watch and will go toe to toe with anyone.

Up-coming events:3/23 Dan Severn and John Burt are headed to Farmington New Mexico to fight for Gladiator Challenge where John will make his pro-debut. John will take on a kick boxer in Presley Sherman and Severn will take on decorated Greco-Roman wrestler Jason Keith. Keep checking your email for results on this event.
